Island Harvest is our first non profit recipient. ‘Share-A-Meal’ with someone in need - purchase an item and purchase a 2nd to drop at the Island Harvest booth! Pre-orders are not required to shop the market! If you pre-ordered and don’t want to shop the entire market, we will detour you to a special pre-order pickup table. The Smith Haven Mall Pop Up Drive Thru Farmers Market launches Thursday, May 21 from 4-7PM. It takes place in the parking lot just east of Bahama Breeze restaurant. Vehicles will drive thru and shop each booth. We will have produce, milk, eggs, meat, seafood, microgreens, honey, maple syrup, cookies, popcorn, soap, farm to table soups, sauce and salsa, prepared healthy, gluten free meals to go, glazes, dressings, pizza kits, pickles, hummus, organic coffee, tea, and more… All vendor fees are being donated to Island Harvest this month! Please wear masks when corresponding with our market vendors! Come shop local for your Memorial Day Weekend! Some vendors are taking preorders- visit smithhavenmallfarmersmarket.com for more details!

HeartBeet Farms and Smith Haven Mall are partnering to introduce a new DRIVE THRU Farmer’s Market! Although NYS markets are allowed to serve customers in a traditional way, we decided to launch with a drive-thru market to ensure the safety of both our vendors and our customers. In addition, all vendor fees (which are minimal) will be donated directly to local charities that are designated on a monthly basis. Current NYS rules allow food (packaged and produce), soap and hand sanitizer businesses to participate. Customer pre-order options will be available as well. The Market will take place on Thursdays, 4-7PM, beginning May 21. Customer details and available products will be announced shortly. If you are a small business and have an interest in participating, please email heartbeetfarms@gmail.com. We have a few spaces left!

Earth Day has been celebrated every April 22nd sin
Earth Day has been celebrated every April 22nd since 1970. This year is the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day. Normally it includes events coordinated globally by the Earth Day Network in more than 190 countries. This year it needs to be celebrated without events, but it can and should still be celebrated by each of us! Wouldn’t it be wonderful if every one of us took one action today (and every day) to support Earth Day and open our eyes to appreciate the planet we live on? Our blog post talks about the history of Earth Day, why it exists, and has a great list of things you can do to Celebrate Earth Day today and every day -at heartbeetfarms.com/blog. Most importantly, think about how your life has changed due to coronavirus and how some of those changes have positively impacted the Earth around you.
