We are featuring BARRICATO al PEPE at Sansone Market - a perfect cheese for the holidays! This hard cow’s milk cheese gets its name from the oak wine barrels in which it is aged. It develops a fruitiness during aging that is a perfect match for the black peppercorns found in the paste and on the rind. It is a product of Veneto, Italy.

The Don8tions team was asked to do something for the Farmingville Historical Society's Trick or Treat Trail...a trail geared to younger kids where they go through the woods and learn all about the history of candy. So we created a booth of games and added an opportunity for the trick or treaters to also give back to other kids. And then, we in turn, donated to kids from a local nonprofit called Hope for Youth.

Last year during the heart of COVID, we tried to purchase a hoop house and it was impossible, so we constructed one out of an old tent structure and some painter’s plastic. It served its purpose, but it barely made it through the wind storms. This season we purchased a 10x15 hoop house to put on our home deck and also have access to a ‘real’ greenhouse at one of the properties we are farming at this season…Let’s GROW!
